Some of these programs may already be packaged for your distribution (esp. fotoxx). Please check the usual places. The packages here may be newer versions. They were built with Ubuntu 8.10 and should work on this and later distros supporting the DEB or RPM package format. They may or may not install on your Linux, and there is no harm in trying. The .deb packages work for Ubuntu 8.10 through 10.04.
